It was such a walk down memory lane looking at pictures and going into storage to snag some of the girls’ toys from their newborn stage. While most of this stage was feeding and snoozing, these toys were so helpful in engaging them during their awake times!

1. Reading is so important, so I tried to do as much as I could while the girls were in a wakeful period. When they were close to a year old, I found this company, Pint Size Productions, and figured out how to make a familiar faces book. We have made one of those and a body parts book. This selfie one is adorable! How fun to have your babes’ favorite people all in one spot? What a personalized gift!

2. I can hardly handle this carrot teether from Oli and Carol! I’ve seen lots of their products in person and secretly wish the girls were back to newborns so they’d get a lot of use out of this. Not only does this non-toxic teether grip on your babes’ wrist, it’s easy to hold and made with natural rubber and food-grade dyes. Only the best for your little one who explores their world with their mouths!

3. We have loved our Sarah’s Silk since the girls’ newborn days. The possibilities are endless! You can tie to their activity gym, let them grasp during tummy time, and it will progress as they grow like playing Peek-A-Boo! A year and a half later and we are still using ours during imaginative play daily!

4. This Manhattan Toy Rattle Grasper and Teether was a favorite. We had the beautiful colorful one, but I’m swooning over the natural wood too!

5. This Hape Rainmaker makes such mesmerizing noise and will continue to be used in play!

6. We are huge fans of any Grimm’s Wood product, and these colorful beads have been bought for many baby showers!

7. We love that this classic by Eric Carle is now in soft book form with a sweet teether!

8. and 9. This Etsy Shop, Essential Montessori, has some beautifully handmade, sustainable toys. This Rolling Ball Toy is mesmerizing and this Tamborine Rattle is so much fun - and safe for teething babes!

10. This mystery box from Lakeshore Learning is perfect for scarf pulling and so much more as your little one grows! Don’t want to splurge now? Use and empty Kleenex box!
